Lawana Thompson appeared before the board requesting a street light near her house.  Mayor Berry is to contact Entergy.

Susan Walker came before the board requesting clarification on two issues :  Garbage pick up and City text.  Mrs. Walker explained that in years past, a city wide text was sent to citizens who requested the alert system.  The number to sign up for text on the City of Magee website is an incorrect number.  Mayor Berry assured the public the IT person, Austin Brown, will address this issue.  Mrs. Walker also questioned the garbage pick up schedule during holidays as well as the public not being alerted to the schedule.  The Mayor again agreed to address the situation and post the information on the website, Facebook page, and by text when in operation.

Deputy Fire Marshal Shane Steele, who also handles property maintenance,  informed the Board the area on 2nd Avenue across from the Presbyterian Church has seen progress cleaning the area.  The home owner informed Mr. Steele his plans are to put a wooden fence around the back yard in the spring. Steele reported the old Murry Tire  area on 149 is scheduled for debris to be removed by Thursday.  The tire removed comes under the direction of DEQ.  The property on 541 near the Millcreek bridge should be cleaned by Thanksgiving. Discussion on the Jerry Brandon property next to the pawn shop is in progress.
