JACKSON, Miss. – Governor Tate Reeves today announced the signing of House Bill 1365, which bans outside dollars from being injected into Mississippi elections. This move comes in the wake of millions of so-called “Zuckerbucks” being sent into Mississippi in 2020. The misuse of these funds resulted in multiple indictments.

This move is intended to strengthen the security of our state elections and further trust in our institutions.

Governor Reeves announced the signing of House Bill 1365 in a video posted to Facebook.
