Julie Malette Garner receives Teacher of the Year for Magee Elementary. Julie has been in the Simpson County School District for seventeen years and everyone of them have been at Magee Elementary. She started out as an assistant and gradually worked her way to a degree in elementary education from William Carey in 2010. She is a first grade teacher and feels teaching is her calling from God. “I am very blessed and honored to be a teacher. It is a challenging and rewarding job all at the same time. I love it and I know I am where God wants me to be.”
