Frankie Mae Evans, 86 of Taylorsville, MS passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Wednesday, May 11, 1938 in Raleigh, MS.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 9:00am until 11:00am at First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Taylorsville, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church Taylorsville. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, MS. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

Mrs. Frankie faithfully served in the children’s ministry at First Baptist Church in Taylorsville for many, many years, touching countless lives. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Evans; son, Kelvin “Bones” Evans; father, Harold Phipps; mother, Grace Kelly Phipps; grandchild, Ance Evans; brother, John Anse Phipps; sister, Faye Gray.

Survivors include her son, Marlon Evans (Sharon) of Taylorsville, MS; daughter, Amanda Evans of Raleigh, MS; sister, Peggy Andris; grandchildren, Norris Evans (Anny), Pete Evans (Tisha); great grandchildren, Ezra, Braylon and Kilah; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Gray, Armand Andris, Mark Quinn, Rodney Barnes, and Mike Evans.
