Martha Frances Finch Lott passed away peacefully at her residence in early morning hours on Saturday, November 9th, 2019. Fran was born May 29th, 1949, in Fayette, MS to Francis and Eva Finch.

The Finch family moved to Magee, MS when Fran was young, and she graduated from Magee High School. Fran graduated from Milsaps College with degrees in Chemistry; as well as, Biology, and Medical Technology from Baptist Hospital – Memphis.

She started her career at King’s Daughters Hospital in Greenville and continued at Delta Regional Medical Center until her retirement, 25 years later, as Lab Manager.


Fran was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Francis and Mrs. Eva Finch.


She is survived by her husband Emery H. “Bucky” Lott; two daughters, Amy and her husband Bart Barrett of Longwood, Florida ( and their three children: Sam, Eva, and Emery), Sally and her husband Chris Miller of Colchester, CT (and their four children: Reilly, Paxton, Jewell, and Buck); sister, Mary Ann Knotts of Brandon, MS; brother, Dan Finch and his wife Renee of Fairview, TX; along with several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her forever best friend, Billie Sanders of Mustang, Oklahoma.


Fran will be best remembered for her generosity and compassion for others. She enjoyed serving her church and community through leadership at the church food pantry, after-school reading program, United Methodist Women, Newcomers Club, and others. She will be missed for her happy hospitality, laughter in her Mah Jongg Group, her fantastic cooking, and her love for her family.


Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 14th, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church.


Visiting hours will be 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service, in the Parlor, at Trinity United Methodist Church.


Flowers will be gratefully accepted, Fran loved them! In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be donated to St. Jude, Batson Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
