Former Simpson Academy Cougar Matt Adcock has signed and enrolled to continue his football career at the University of Arkansas, where he will play tight end for the Razorbacks during his senior season.

Adcock, a 2023 graduate of Simpson Academy, has taken a steady and impressive path through collegiate football. He spent two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College before transferring to the University of Memphis, where he played during the 2025 season. At Memphis, Adcock recorded 12 receptions for 70 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Tigers finish the season with an 8–5 record.

Originally a tight end and linebacker at Simpson Academy, Adcock’s versatility has been evident throughout his career. During his first season at MGCCC, he played on the defensive line at defensive end and defensive tackle before transitioning back to tight end for his second season with the Bulldogs, a move that helped shape his future at the collegiate level.

Now at Arkansas, Adcock will return to the tight end position as he competes in the Southeastern Conference, one of the top football conferences in the nation.

Off the field, Adcock is majoring in economics. He is the son of Landry Adcock, owner of Landmark Surveying, and Misty Adcock, a third-grade teacher at Simpson Academy. He also has a younger brother, Chase Adcock, who is a senior at Simpson Academy.

Adcock’s journey from Simpson Academy to junior college, then to Memphis, and now to Arkansas, reflects years of hard work, determination, and growth. His family, coaches, and the entire Simpson Academy community expressed pride in his accomplishments and excitement as he takes the next step in his football career.
