Friday night lights arrived for the season in Simpson County.
Mendenhall had an impressive win over Hazlehurst by a score of 40-6. The Tigers traveled to Hazlehurst where they showed they are out for a repeat of last season. The Tigers have a goal to finish strong in their division with the Golden Egg as the vision.
Magee traveled to West Lauderdale for the first game of the season. The Trojans fell to West Lauderdale by a score of 58-19. The team and coaches will regroup this week working on areas that need improvement. Magee will host Mendenhall Friday, September 1st for the 99th Simpson County Superbowl.
Simpson Academy hosted Hartfield Academy for their first home game of the season. The Cougars fell short by a score of 48-22. Fans were excited for the season return by a large crowd in attendance supporting the Cougars. Simpson will be home this week against Adams County Christian Academy.
Looking for something to do on a Friday night there is plenty of action in the county.
