Ms. Kimberly Booth and Ms. Mary Hughes’ 1 and 2 year old classes at Magee First Baptist Church Daycare visited the Magee Police Department and Fire Department last Wednesday, November 15, 2017. The children delivered a sign to each department showing their appreciation to all the firefighters and policemen for what they do to keep our community safe.

They were greeted by Officers Shane Little and Shawn Cooper at the police department and were told all about the daily operations and procedures that are needed to operate a police department.

Firefighter Bobby Toney II also gave the children a tour of the Fire Department. There they were able to look at a fire truck and see the different pieces of equipment that a fireman uses. He also gave each child a Junior Firefighter badge and coloring book.  Teachers Valerie May, Lisa Toney and Ashley Lawson assisted with getting the children to each location.
