Fall 2015 Eagle Scholars Recognized by Center for Undergraduate Research

The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Center for Undergraduate Research at The University of Southern Mississippi hosted a reception Aug. 21 recognizing the fall 2015 class of Eagle Scholars. The faculty recipients of the 2015 Donald Drapeau Undergraduate Mentorship Award were also honored.

During the fall semester, the Eagle Scholars will undertake an independent project involving original research or creative activity under the guidance of a faculty mentor. In a competition held last spring the students, who represent four colleges and both campuses, were chosen to receive up to $1,000 to help support their work.
