E.L. Ates Jr., 76, of Magee, went to sleep in Jesus on Friday, June 24, 2016 at his home. He was born Wednesday, October 04, 1939 in Smith , MS.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Rocky Hill Baptist in Magee, Burial will follow in Rocky Hill Cemetery, Bro. Thomas Sanders will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Magee.
He is preceded in death by his parents E.L, Ates Sr and Vondell Johnson Ates, Grandson, Christopher Ates, Sister Georgie; Niece Wanda, and Uncle Delton
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Linda Broadway Ates, Son, Eric Ates (Tina Brister), Grand Children- Candie Knight (Jeff), Erica Ates, Brandon Ates, Landon Ates (Shelby), Great Grand Children, Cameron Keller, Kaylee Keller, Jayce Knight, Jorden Knight, Jadyn Knight, Dane Brister (Rene), Savannah Henderson (Brent),
Pallbearers will be, Brandon Ates, Landon Ates, Jeff Knight, Jayce Knight, Tyler Broadway, and Kyle Broadway.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Cameron Keller, Jadyn Knight, Daniel Homes, Terry Ferguson, and W.L Johnson
