Denise Anderson Blackwell

(October 21, 1963 – October 5, 2021)

Denise Anderson Blackwell, 57, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She was born Monday, October 21, 1963.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Praise & Worship in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Adam Jordan will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mrs. Denise was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed listening to her music, going out to eat, and most of all spending time with her loving family.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Anderson and Patsy Chappell Anderson.

Survivors include her two loving children, Cristy Powell and her husband, Kenneth Jr., of Raleigh and Leland Blackwell of Taylorsville; father of her children, Joe Allen Blackwell of Taylorsville; two grandchildren, Rebecca Powell, and friend J.T. Weathersby, of Johns, and Winferd Powell of Raleigh; one brother, Patrick Anderson and his wife, Hope, of Arkansas; and a host of other family members and friends.
