Gutierrez, White inducted into Copiah-Lincoln’s Simpson Center Hall of Fame
WESSON – Two outstanding sophomores on Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Simpson County Center have been named to the college’s Hall of Fame, the highest honor that can be given a Co-Lin student.
Co-Lin President Dr. Jane G. Hulon announced the 2019-2020 Hall of Fame recipients are Dayra Gutierrez of Mount Olive and Chloe White of Magee.
Dayra Gutierrez of Mount Olive is a member of the Beta Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and serves as publicity chair for the Student Government Association and the Trailblazers. A President’s List student, Dayra was selected as a Campus Favorite and to Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She plans to attend the University of Southern Mississippi majoring in business with a minor in Spanish.
She is the daughter of Carlos Gutierrez and Rosario De Leon.
Chloe White of Magee serves as President of the Student Government Association, Vice President of Communication for Phi Theta Kappa, and Vice President of the Trailblazers. She is a member of the Archery Team and Bible Club. Chloe was selected as a Campus Favorite her freshman and sophomore years, as well as a Beauty in the Trillium Beauty Pageant. She received the English Award and was selected to Who’s Who at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. The recipient of Co-Lin Foundation Scholarships, Chloe is a member of Phi Theta Kappa’s All-Mississippi Academic Team.
She is the daughter of Shelly and David Crane and Tim and Brenda White.
