Schedule of 60th Annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo Events Taking Place
Tomorrow, Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1

 

STATE FAIRGROUNDS, Miss. – Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson invites everyone to attend the 60th annual Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo and announces the schedule of events taking place tomorrow, Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1, 2025. All events take place on the Mississippi State Fairgrounds.

MDOT urges public to stay weather aware as Tropical Storm Arthur tracks toward state

The 4-H and FFA students will continue competing in the Dixie National Junior Round-Up Livestock Shows. Today at 9 a.m., exhibitors will compete in the Swine Showmanship and the Commercial Gilt Show. The next show will be the Mississippi Bred Barrow Show and Market Hog Show on Saturday, February.

The annual Dixie National Horse and Mule Color Bonanza Show continues and will run through Sunday, February 2 in the Equine Center. This show starts at 8:00 a.m. daily and features mules and donkeys in its long ear division of all colors and sizes, as well as being open to horses of all colors and disciplines. Multiple registries will be represented, and exhibitors have come from as far away as Nebraska, North Carolina, Florida, Alaska and beyond. This is one of the largest mule and donkey shows in the nation, and it also features equine with the American Ranch Horse Association (ARHA) and Palomino Horse Breeders Association (PHBA).

Scheduled Activities & Events for Friday, January 31, 2025:

  • 8:00 a.m. – Dixie National Horse and Mule Color Bonanza Show – Equine Center
  • 9:00 a.m. – Swine Showmanship – Swine Arena/Barn 6
  • 9:00 a.m. – Commercial Gilt Show – Swine Arena/Barn 6

Scheduled Activities & Events for Saturday, February 1, 2025:

  • 8:00 a.m. – Dixie National Horse and Mule Color Bonanza Show – Equine Center
  • 8:00 a.m. – Mississippi Bred Barrow Show – Swine Arena/Barn 6
  • 8:00 a.m. – Market Hog Show – Swine Arena/Barn 6

Events of the 60th Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo run through Sunday, February 16, 2025. The Dixie National Rodeo, the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi River, takes place Friday, February 7, through Saturday, February 15, inside the Mississippi Coliseum at the State Fairgrounds.

Rodeo Entertainment:

  • Friday, February 7, at 7:00 p.m. – Sam Barber
  • Saturday, February 8, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – George Birge
  • Sunday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m. – Lorrie Morgan
  • Wednesday, February 12, at 7:00 p.m. – Clay Walker
  • Thursday, February 13, at 7:00 p.m. – Zach Top (Concert-only tickets available)
  • Friday, February 14, at 7:00 p.m. – Ella Langley (Concert-only tickets available)
  • Saturday, February 15, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – Gretchen Wilson
