Co-Lin Inaugural CDL class completes; upcoming dates set

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College Workforce Education Department facilitated Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) training at the Simpson County Center in September under the instruction of Dwight Brown. In five weeks, students completed theory and road-time requirements in preparation for their road test which is included in the cost of the class.

“This training is a tremendous opportunity for individuals in our area to learn the skills they need to enter the high demand field of transportation,” said Vice President of Co-Lin’s Simpson County Center Dr. Anika Floyd. “In addition, it allows the college to pursue meeting the workforce needs of industry in our region. We look forward to building a thriving commercial truck driving school to support the industry on MS Hwy 49 and beyond.”
