Copiah-Lincoln Community College held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct.6 at the center of the Wesson Campus officially opening the new pedestrian corridor. Co-Lin President Dr. Ronnie Nettles opened the ceremony with Bro. Bruce Brady offering the invocation. Co-Lin Board of Trustees Chairman Eugene Bates, Wesson Mayor Alton Shaw, and Student Government Association President Katie Grace Culpepper spoke to a large crowd gathered on the completed corridor. Central Transportation Commissioner Dick Hall was also a special guest for the ribbon cutting ceremony. A reception was held following the ceremony in the Gertrude Mutton Building.

A benefit to both Town of Wesson citizens and college students and staff, the corridor offers much more than just aesthetic value. Many recreational activities on campus are now more easily accessible for both Town of Wesson citizens and college students and staff. The corridor boasts beautiful walkways, extensive landscaping, and seating areas for students and staff to enjoy.
