Magee Board of Alderman met Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

A public hearing for input and discussion on the tax levy and 2023 budget was the first order of business. At this time, the 2023 budget contains no tax increase.

Renew 96 applied with the zoning board for a new signed to be erected at their Main Street studio. Darnell Moffett, Zoning director, informed the board the request met all zoning requirements. The request was approved by the board.

Jimmy Zila, Park Director, advised the board the possibility of two tournaments taking place in Magee this weekend (9/9-10) (baseball and softball). The threat of rain is causing teams to reschedule and find playing fields with artificial turf. Soccer signup has been extended until Friday, September 9, 2002. As of today, 99 kids have signed up to play soccer, which is in increase of numbers from last year.

Ashley Steel, Airport Manager, advised clean out is taking place with the fuel system. As soon as the tank is cleaned, fuel can be stored in tank. At that point, the airport will be up and running for fuel purchases.

A copy of the meeting is attached for viewing.
