On this part of this series, I, Ian Cowart, want to focus on Magee Chamber of Commerce Board of Director, Jonathan Cole.

Jonathan has served the Chamber as a Board of Director for three years. Along with Joey, Kannan, and Jacob, Jonathan will roll off as a board member at the annual meeting on March 6th.

Jonathan is one of the hardest working guys in Magee. This year, a good chunk of Jonathan’s time has been dedicated to his new tractor store, “Cole Tractor Company”. Jonathan’s new business adventure may have kept him away from some of our meetings, but he was definitely there in spirit.

Jonathan has been a tremendous help at every event the Chamber has hosted this year. Jonathan showed up to help the “Tea in the Gardens” at 6:30 am. Jonathan made sure we were all set that morning before leaving because of obligations with his store. Jonathan also took part in the madness that is Crazy Day morning. Jonathan was placed in a key position in directing traffic that morning. Without Jonathan funneling vendors where they needed to go, Crazy Day would have been a nightmare.

Jonathan was present for all of our discussions regarding “Project Downtown”. I appreciate his presence on the board during this time. Jonathan was able to provide the board with several great ideas toward this venture. Mr. Cole brought a strong sense of creativity and work ethic to the board this year. The fact that he was able to serve at all of our functions and start up a tractor company simultaneously is truly remarkable feet. For Jonathan to do all that he did this year speaks wonders about his work ethic.

I hope that we will see Jonathan in more leadership roles in our great city. Magee can benefit a great deal from people like him. Jonathan Cole has in him the drive, work ethic, and guts to not only open a new business venture but lead Magee where we need to go. I have truly appreciated working alongside such a great example of a man who isn’t afraid to work.

Thank you Jonathan for all that you do for the Chamber and City of Magee.
