Catherine Buffington, 78 of D Lo, MS passed away Friday, March 04, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born Thursday, January 27, 1944 in Pascagoula Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 06, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 07, 2022 from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Ted Bowlin and Bro. Mark Ramsey will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Daniel Hallman; daughter, Jennifer Buffington; parents, Albert Frank May and Willie Alice May Tucker; brothers, Phillip Wayne May, A F May, and CW May; sisters, Patsie Thompson, Marily Bowman and Ima Jean May; step-father, Pat Tucker.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell (Oz) Buffington of D Lo, MS; sons, Johnny Frank (Jeanna) Odom, Mitchell (Nikki) Hallman, and Rocky Odom; daughters, Bridget (Robert) Waltman and Penny (Bubba) Noland; grandchildren, Justin (Stephine) Waltman, Ashleigh Wooten, Shelby (Spencer) Hooks, Jamie (William) Lake, Casey (Jay) Lewis, Austin Odom (Jessie Bentley), Ethan Odom, Brody Odom, Tiffany (Justin) Aldridge, Albert Noland, Luke Odom, Ty Odom, Cheyan, Dakota, Laken Smith, Blaze Coleman, Nicholi Bynum and Rawyne Coleman; great- grandchildren, Levi, Wyatt, JoAnna Waltman, Jaylen Barnette, Sadie Sutton & Shepard Hooks, Cooper Lake, Kiptyn, Garrison, Cason, & Roslyn Lewis, Bentley Odom, Tinsley, Elizabeth & Holden Aldridge and Maylee Noland; brothers, Donald (Kathy) May, Ricky (Sherry) May, Larry Palmer and James (Jean) May; sister, Frankie ( Zane) Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ty Odom, Luke Odom, Albert Noland, Ethan Odom, Brody Odom, and Austin Odom.
