Flowood, MS- Capital Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center is pleased to announce that Friday, June 1, the clinic officially changed its name to Capital Ortho.

“In an effort to create a stronger brand identity and to enhance communication with our patients, we felt that a slight change to our name was the right decision as we move into the future, said Jeff Bedford, CEO of Capital Ortho.

The orthopedic group, comprised of nine specialty-trained orthopedic surgeons, has experienced significant growth over the past decade and has outgrown their current Flowood location. They are currently moving into the last phase of constructing a brand new state-of-the-art facility, conveniently located on the Medical Parkway between Airport Rd. and Flowood Dr.

With plans to open in late August, the new facility will provide patients with a more comprehensive approach to managing their orthopedic needs. The new location will include a full-service outpatient surgery center, on-site physical therapy, and an in-house pharmacy.

“At Capital Ortho, every patient is important to us and deserves a personalized experience when they walk through our doors. As we continue to grow and expand our practice, we believe it is our job to provide patients and their family members with the very best service and to exceed their expectations every single time,” said Bedford. “I, along with the physicians and staff, am looking forward to positive changes and growth that will allow us to better serve our community for years to come.”

The physicians at Capital Ortho treat patients of all ages with many different types of bone and joint related injuries and issues, including knees, hips, feet, ankles, shoulders, elbows, hands, and wrists.

Capital Ortho currently has clinics in Flowood and Madison, with satellite operations in Kosciusko, Forest, Hazelhurst, and Magee. For more information, call 601-987-8200 or visit capitalortho.com.
