On July 21, 2025, at approximately 10:24 AM, Magee Police responded to Park Place Apartments in reference to a male with a firearm who was reportedly involved in suspicious activity. During the course of the investigation, officers arrested Cameron Floyd for possession with intent to distribute, with a firearm enhancement, and for concealing a firearm without a holster.
Floyd, who is currently under indictment for another felony, had his bond revoked and was later transferred to the Simpson County Jail where he will await his initial trial.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
A great job to our patrol and investigation division for a job well done.
Some say the little things don’t matter. I disagree. A tiny crack in your windshield might seem harmless at first but left alone it spiderwebs into something far costlier. I believe in tending to the small fixes early because they’re often the guardians against the big problems tomorrow.
