Boswell Regional Center recently held its Employee Recognition Banquet to honor the top employees for 2017. The majority of the honorees in the recognition program are involved in the direct care of BRC individuals. One category recognizes outstanding support personnel. Employees of the Month during the entire year were honored at the banquet attended by Diana Mikula, executive director of the Department of Mental Health; Steve Allen, deputy director of DMH; Renee Britt, bureau director, intellectual and developmental disabilities and Marc Lewis, bureau director, bureau director, mental health.

The top employees of 2017 were: Tameka Cooper, Campus Direct Support Professional; Jean Dennis, Community Services division; Mashonda McDonald, Community ICF/IDD group homes; Stanley Sullivan, Support/Professional division and Lonnie Baggett, Mississippi Adolescent Center.

Each employee received $100 from Boswell’s “Friends and Family” association, an engraved award and a personalized parking sign declaring their status as Employee of the Year.
Mikula emphasized her support for the contributions each of the honorees, including all 2017 employees of the month, make in their respective positions.
