Bobbie Nell Palmer Buffington Sullivan, 95 of Mendenhall, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Simpson General Hospital. She was born on March 11, 1926.

She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Mendenhall, MS. Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to so many. Bobbie would always greet everyone with a loving hug and a kiss. Bobbie will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

A private family visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January, 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall. Bro. Ted Bowlen will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake & Eula Palmer; brothers, Sam Palmer, Joe Palmer, Cecil Palmer, Billy Palmer, and Ben Palmer; sister, Willie Alice Tucker; her husbands, Wilson Charles Buffington and Albert Jack Sullivan; one son, Nelson Sullivan.  Bobbie raised not only her three natural birth children but step-children that she loved as her very own.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Hopkins (Phillip), Jackie Sullivan, Mitchell Oz Buffington (Catherine), Rita Satcher (Ray), and Bruce Buffington (Patrice); daughter-in-law, Diane Sullivan; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mother is dancing in Heaven so go and “Stroll over Heaven”
