Bobbie Lou Speir of Taylorsville, MS went to her heavenly home on March 22, 2025 at the age of 96. She was born on December 31, 1928 in Taylorsville, MS.
Bobbie was a kind, giving and loving person. She liked to laugh and believed a hard day’s work was good for the body, mind and soul. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
There will be a public visitation Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 1:30 pm until 2:30pm, with a graveside service, at Fellowship Cemetery on March 26, 2025 at 3:00pm. Pastor Kelly Speir will officiate the funeral.
Bobbie is survived in death by her daughters; Kathy Speir Martin (Vernon) and Jennifer Speir Wilson (Eddie Ralph). Sons; Joseph Speir and Jeffrey Speir (Gina). Grandchildren; Shana Bethany, Lori Speir Young (Tony), Rodney Speir, Julie Allen (Chris), Cory Wilson, Eric Speir (Lynn), Kelly Speir (Kristy), Valorie Speir, Amanda Speir, Vickie Warren (George) and Mark Speir. A host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a sister-in-law; Faye Whitman.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Benton Speir, Son, Glen Howard Speir (Janice), Son, Robert Gregory Speir (Toni), grandson, Daniel Glen Speir, Parents, Victoria and J. Robert Blakeney, Son-in-law, Vernon Martin and a total of 10 brothers and sisters.
Bobbie worked at South Central Bell for 14 years in her earlier years. She was also a full-time homemaker and a caregiver working well into her 80’s.
Bobbie’s hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening and shopping for bargains.
As we celebrate your life today, your memory will always be in our hearts. Your resilience and optimism through life’s hardest trials taught us all there’s always hope for a better tomorrow. Until we meet again, rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Thank you for loving us unconditionally.
