The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Matthew 5:6: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” This is one of the “Beatitudes” which so lovingly assures the Christian that each will be blessed with eternal life with Christ Jesus if he seeks virtue and goodness in his earthly existence. The things of this world are transitory and will eventually fade and rust. Only those treasures laid up in Heaven will last forever and ever. Let us keep our minds set on those as we go about our daily lives. The BIBLE tells us that man’s life is a mere vapor. It’s here; then, it evaporates and is gone. Only what’s done for Christ will have any lasting significance. Amen!
