Danny Moseley, lifelong resident of Magee, Mississippi passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 10, 2023, at the age of 68.

Danny Ray Moseley was born September 19, 1954, in Mendenhall, Mississippi to Ray and Mick Moseley. He graduated from Vancleave High School in 1972. He was a graduate of Copiah Lincoln Community College.

Danny was an Insurance Executive and real estate developer. Danny was passionate about the people of his home county.

He was active in numerous business and economic development endeavors. He and his business partner, David Keyes, founded Insurance Associates in 1977. Together, they harvested a successful and thriving insurance agency and real estate development business.

Danny served in leadership roles in numerous community and industry organizations. He served twenty years on the Simpson County Economic Development board, including two terms as president. He served as president of the Magee Chamber of Commerce and the Magee Lions Club. He served on the Charter Health Trust Board of Magee General Hospital and as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi. He was most recently the Chairman of the Board of People’s Bank.

Danny Moseley was a former member of Dry Creek Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church of Magee. While a member of Dry Creek Baptist, he served as Chairman of the deacons. He was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir.

Danny enjoyed traveling, good food, gardening, walking, and his family. He loved supporting his grandkids. He could always be seen supporting the Cougars, the Hawks, Bulldogs, or the Jaguars. He loved to make others feel special.

Danny is survived by his mother, Mick Moseley; daughter, Charity Wallace (Steven), son, Ashley Moseley (Devin), daughter, Melanie Rankin (Steven); grandchildren, Reagan Wallace, Avery Rankin, Reese Moseley, Ella Rankin, Maddie Moseley, Wilkes Wallace, and Beck Rankin; the loving mother of his children, Belinda Moseley; his siblings, Donny Moseley (Sue), Ronny Moseley (Deana), Cindy Jennings (Glen), Penny Creel (Randy); and his beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, his friend Julie and his countless lifelong impactful friendships.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Ray Moseley and his sister, Pat Stephens.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Magee at 10:00 AM with interment to follow in Magee City Cemetery.
