Billy Frank Thurman, 61 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Friday, September 1, 2023 at his home in Mendenhall, MS. He was born Saturday, September 30, 1961 in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

  Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 03, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Merit Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. David Hill and Bro. Timothy Carlisle will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Farris K.  Bozeman and Mamie Lee Armstrong Thurman; sister, Virginia Thompson.

  Survivors include his wife, Brenda Carolyn Thurman;  son, Devon Thurman  (Miranda);  daughter, Kimberly Gunter (Joseph);  grandchildren, Devan Thurman, Dixie  McMichael and Delta  Matthews;  brothers, Farrion  Thurman  (Jennifer) and Thomas  Thurman  (Norma Jean);  sisters, Lajeana Blain (Tom), Dorothy  McCurdy  (Charley); and a host of  nieces, nephews, and other family members.

 Pallbearers will be Devan Thurman, Dixie McMichael, Stan Bryant, Ryan Curlee, John McGrew, Wesley McGrew, Paul Kercheval, and Josh Parrett.

  Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Bridges, Jeff Adams, Jackie Dale Holbrook, and JT Purser.
