Betty J. Monk, 72 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Brandon Nursing & Rehab in Brandon, MS. She was born Thursday, September 11, 1952 in Louisiana.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Mendenhall Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Monk; parents, Hillard Mack Boykin and Bessie Seymour Boykin; sister, Debbie Lee Boykin.

Survivors include her daughter, Samantha Monk; brothers, Bobby Boykin (Lisa), Bundy  Boykin (Kim), Billy Wayne Boykin and Frankie Boykin;  sisters, Marie  Henley (Sonny), Ollie Stevens, Annie Dale Myers (Mitchell), Susie Hammack  (Charles Billy), Ruby  Boykin; and a host of  nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Danny Ray Myers, BJ Boykin, Justin Boykin, Bundy Boykin, Bobby Boykin, and Biff Monk.

Honorary pallbearer will be James Stevens.
