Betty Carolyne Chandler Johnson, 85 of Raleigh, MS passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was born Monday, September 16, 1940 in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 03, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize, Mississippi. Bro. Scooter May will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.

Mrs. Johnson loved bird watching, crossword puzzles, and other type of puzzles. She adored her grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and her great –great grandchild. She cherished the family pet, Bocephus. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold  Dean  Johnson, Sr.;  son, Van  David  Johnson;  father, Grover  E`Van Chandler;  mother, Hettie  Mildred  Green  Chandler;  brother, Grover  Allen  Chandler;  sisters, Elizabeth  Candace  Royals, Hettie  Catherine  Smith and Thelma  Jane  Craft.

Survivors include her sons, Harold Dean Johnson, Jr.  (Frankie), Anthony Keith Johnson (Tonya), Clinton Bradley Johnson (Tracy); sister, Norma Rose Jones; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Keith Johnson, Clinton Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Dean Johnson, Roger Smith, and Ken Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Johnson and Dustin Henderson.
