Barbara Varner, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Magee. She was born on October 22, 1930, to the (late) Henry and Ellen (Hughes) Maddox of Magee.
Mrs. Varner was a lifelong resident of Magee and member of Corinth Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons; Mike Varner (Rhonda), Keith Varner (Ramona); one daughter, Pam Turner (Ross); seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Varner; son, Kenny Varner; four brothers, Jerome Maddox, Eber Maddox, Pete Maddox, Ray Maddox; three sisters, Earnestine Womack, Marie Leonard and Thressia Moman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Services are scheduled for Sunday, January 31, at 2:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Wesbrooks officiating. Final resting place will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
