There is a lot going on in Magee, MS! Thursday morning, I met Whit Hughes, candidate for Congress, at Wards to see what he had to say about the upcoming, June 26th, run off election. Whit emphasized he is a businessman and thinks like a businessman. The entire visit is available on the video below.

What’s This???

What’s This???

July 5, 2025

My alderman, Matthew Hickman, mentioned at last night’s board meeting that I needed to check out the paving project. Dale had already encouraged the media to become involved in the progress made on paving. Education Drive is almost completed! This street runs beside Loves and is the gateway to the Magee Elementary. Goodwater Road in front of the school is receiving hot new asphalt!…and looks good! Our city is working hard to improve our streets with a limited budget! Speaking of streets!!! Don’t forget the “Pot Hole Patrol” is always “open” to needed areas in our city. Contact City Hall (601-849-3344) or report the problem on the City of Magee FB page…and you can always contact me and I’ll pass along the info. Sue
Your city officials want to know where there are problem pot holes—tell them

Continuing on my way home, I saw ground moving at the Furgerson Credit Union location next to Dr. Foozy Dyer dental clinic.

The “trip” around town wasn’t all pleasant…I almost got hit at the Wendy’s intersection. I will never understand why anyone thinks the stop signs and no stop signs will work…but who am I?…just a tax paying citizens who doesn’t want to be killed cruising Magee.
Enjoy your day! Don’t forget the Farmer’s Market is Saturday @ 9 located next to the Magee Community House.
