Alton B Sullivan Sr. 88, of Shivers, MS passed away Sunday, May 07, 2017 at Briarhill Nursing Home in Florence.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 09, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall with funeral services immediately following visitation. Bro. Jerry Mixon will officiate. Graveside services will be held at Sullivan Family Cemetery on Vard Sullivan Road. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601)847-4401
“Big Arch” was a native farmer of Simpson County and he loved to give away his vegetables. He loved watching football, especially the Saints and Ole Miss. You would find “Big Arch” on any given day on his front porch visiting with family and friends. He was and will be missed very much.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Vard and Gladys Sullivan, wife, Hazel Sullivan, and two sons, Boyd Sullivan Jr., and Loyd Sullivan.
Survivors include his daughter, Martha McKeith of Pinola, MS, Daughter-in-law, Beth Sullivan of Raymond, MS. He had 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
