The student organization HOSA (Health Occupational Students of America) recently held the state leadership competition in Jackson. The Simpson County Technical Center had fourteen students to participate in the competition. Kaylin Easterling, SCTC HOSA President placed 1st in Mississippi HOSA Competition Extemporaneous Writing. Kaylin is eligible to compete at the HOSA International Competition in June held in Orlando, FL. Brenda White is the Health Science instructor and serves as the HOSA advisor.
Karli Welch, Emily Reed & Nacaseia Langston won 2nd place at the MS HOSA Competition with their Public Service Announcement, “Given Moments”. These three students presented at the MNA District 11 meeting held at The Vault in Magee. Advisor Brenda White & the SCTC are proud of all of these amazing students!
