Magee Trojans Take Down Raleigh Lions 29–7!

The Magee Trojans are on a roll!

Friday night at Trojan Field, Magee High School kept its winning streak alive with an impressive 29–7 victory over the Raleigh Lions.

The Trojans entered the game riding a five-game winning streak and made it six straight with Friday night’s victory.

Raleigh came to Magee with a strong football program and a seven-game road winning streak dating back to last season. But the Trojans were ready!

Magee’s defense played a major role in the victory, forcing several turnovers and keeping the Lions from finding their rhythm.

With the win, Magee improves to 7–1 on the season, while Raleigh falls to 5–2. The Trojans have now won five games this season by 21 points or more.

Magee will travel to Seminary on October 29 for a 7:00 PM matchup against the Bulldogs.

What a night for Trojan football! Congratulations to the players and coaches on another big win!

Coach Chase Courtney shared his thoughts following the victory:

“Really big win for our kids and program. Raleigh has become the standard in 3A football. Coach Higdon and Smith do a tremendous job of playing complementary football. We felt like we had a plan that gave us a chance if we executed it. We were able to turn Raleigh over several times, which was huge. Coach Milloy did a great job of putting in and calling a defensive game plan that was so effective.”
