The Magee Trojans saw their impressive six-game winning streak come to an end Thursday night, October 29, as the Seminary Bulldogs handed Magee a 35-7 defeat.

Coming off a strong 29-7 victory over Raleigh on October 16, the Trojans entered Thursday’s contest with plenty of momentum. However, Seminary proved to be a tough opponent, holding Magee to its lowest point total of the season.

The loss marked only the second defeat of the year for Magee, bringing the Trojans’ overall record to 7-2.

Before facing Seminary, Magee had put together an outstanding stretch of football, including victories over Raleigh (29-7), Mount Olive (48-7), Jefferson Davis County (22-6), and Forest (48-27).

The Trojans had demonstrated a powerful offense throughout their winning streak, but Thursday night’s matchup presented a different challenge.

Seminary, meanwhile, continued its successful season with the victory, improving to 9-1.

Although the loss was disappointing for Magee, the Trojans have plenty to be proud of this season. With seven victories and only two losses, the team has shown determination, talent, and the ability to compete.

One difficult night does not erase the accomplishments of a team that has worked hard throughout the season.

Coach Chase Courtney and his Trojans will look to put Thursday night’s setback behind them and build on the success they have enjoyed this year.

The Trojan faithful have plenty of reasons to continue cheering for their team. One loss doesn’t define a season, and these young men have already shown what they can accomplish when they work together.

Go Trojans!
