The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Joshua 24:15: “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…, but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” How wise of any father to instruct his children in the ways of the Lord. Religious teaching was entrusted to the fathers, as God still intends. Let us not be slack or found negligent in carrying out our duties as fathers. From the moment of their birth, we, as a parent, have a covenant with our children. Let us be found diligent and faithful so we’ll one day hear God tell us, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” Amen! Happy Father’s Day!
