Simpson County Supervisors Address Foster Care, Roads, Fire Protection and County Business

September 16, 2026

I have stood with law enforcement to take down drug dealers, human traffickers, and gang members to restore law and order. I have stood with President Trump to detain and deport dangerous illegal criminals, certifying every one of our investigators as ICE partners. I have made Mississippi a leader in fighting fraud, recovering over 101 million dollars for Mississippi taxpayers.

I have fought to protect our children from predators and from the social media cartel that put profits over children’s welfare. I have fought to keep boys out of girls’ sports, filing the first lawsuit to defend Title IX. And I went to the U.S. Supreme Court to protect life by overturning Roe v Wade.

I have never shied away from making the tough choices. I have never been afraid to put innovative ideas into action. I have never backed down from a fight. Because it is about doing what is right.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve Mississippi, and I have never taken that great privilege for granted. Today, I am proud to stand before you and announce my candidacy to be your next Governor.

There is no question that this State has turned a corner. Years of steady conservative leadership under Governors Barbour, Bryant, and Reeves – and the nation is taking notice of Mississippi. We are on our way to the top in education, economic development, and law and order. People are paying attention to what we have done. But they are really watching to see what we do next.

Mississippi is on the verge of moving from the nation’s best kept secret to the nation’s leader in conservative governance. We need the right leader to make this moment count. I have the experience, the record, and the proven leadership to take Mississippi to the top. This is about serious governing. This is about strategic planning. This is about bringing people together and engaging everyone in the mission to make Mississippi the leader.

As Governor, I will focus on making life more affordable, on making our communities safer, and on making our economy stronger … All while remaining firmly anchored in our core values of faith, family, and freedom. We have a great ally in President Trump right now, but we must always be prepared to stand strong for life and liberty.

One of the many brilliant principles of America’s founding was that the states are the laboratories of democracy, and Mississippi must continue to show the nation the way. We need to continue or even accelerate the phase-out of our income tax. We must support Mississippi’s innovators and small businesses that drive our economy. We need to improve access to quality health care to improve health outcomes for all. We need to show companies that Mississippi is a good investment.

The Mississippi Miracle in education isn’t the end goal. It is the beginning of the Mississippi Momentum in education. Mississippi’s greatest asset has always been our people. As we expand opportunities, everyone will be part of what comes next.

This isn’t just a job for me. It never has been. This has always been an opportunity to serve and deliver on the trust you have placed with me. I have never been distracted from the work that needs to be done, and I won’t be now. I commit to you that as long as you trust me to serve, I will put your interests first. I will choose progress over motion. I will build bridges and forge partnerships. I will empower every Mississippian to be a part of our future.

I am a Trump conservative with Mississippi values. Together, we will make bold and sustaining change for Mississippi. That is how we make the most of this moment in time. That is how we make Mississippi the nation’s leader. That is how we give you and your family your best future.

Mississippi is leading. But our best days are ahead of us. Today, with humility and God’s grace, I ask Mississippi for the honor of leading this great State as your next Governor.

God bless you. God bless America. And God bless the great state of Mississippi.
