The Scriptural passage for today is found in 2 Corinthians 7:10: “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” The early Christians at the church at Corinth were told plainly that true repentance was paramount if one wishes to receive salvation. One must be truly sorry for his/her sins, renounce them before God, and He will be quick to forgive them. No repentance will eventually lead to death and eternal separation from God. Which path do we choose? Let us all be able to proclaim: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Amen! “Glorious freedom! Wonderful freedom! No more in chains of sin I repine. Jesus the glorious Emancipator, now and forever Jesus is mine.”
