Willie B. Tebo, 77, of Salem, AL passed away Sunday morning, November 10, 2019 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am EST Tuesday at New Hope Revival Ministries in Smiths Station with Pastor Steven Shelley and his son, Pastor Willie Tebo officiating.
Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening (Monday) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City.
Daddy Tebo was born November 1, 1942 in Taylorsville, MS, son of the late Ed Oathur Tebo and Dovie Estelle Jones Tebo. He had worked for many years as mechanic on oil rigs for TCS. He was a farmer at heart, he enjoyed raising farm animals, spending time in the outdoors, traveling, and sharing memories with his wife, family, and all his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved church worship, and was a member of New Hope Revival Ministries.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Scott Tebo, and several siblings, Ruby Grace Craft, Robert Tebo, SV Tebo, Victor Tebo, Jimmy Vernon Tebo, Irene Counts, and Bessie Jean Caraway.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Mary “Rose” McLaughlin Tebo, his children, Willie Tebo (Michelle), Amanda Kover (Mark), Billy Tebo (Laurel), and Pamela Meeks (Bobby); one sister, Dorothy Faye Nance (Richard), and one brother, Charles Tebo (Donna), (16) grandchildren, JoAnna Melillo (Dave), RoseAnna (Kaleb), Kara Tebo, Zachary Kover, Neisha Kover, Joshua Kover, Emily Wasinger (Roger), Ashleigh Tebo, Zion Tebo, Logan Furlong, Briana Furlong, Meagan Yovich (Luke), Kiley Meeks, Chris Tebo (Sarah), Cameron Tebo (Liz), and Aimee Tebo, (9) great grandchildren, Tyler, Alania, Harper, Caleb, Paisley, Lily, Elizabeth, Amelia, Christopher, and two more precious ones on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, and many caring friends.
