Sunday morning, shortly after midnight, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office received a
report of a shooting on R T Lake Road. Deputies learned that verbal altercation occurred
at a house party on R T Lake Road. Mr. Willie Davis left the party and walked to a
vehicle parked at the intersection of Emmitt Brown and R T Lake Road. As Mr. Davis and
his party got into their vehicle they were approached by several individuals and Mr. Davis
was severely beaten and then fired upon by one of the men. Eventually he was taken to a
local hospital by family members where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the publics help in locating Mr.
Ruben Mayes and his wife Mrs. Amanda Warren as persons of interest in this case.
