William Hilton Herring, 88, of Mendenhall passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall. He was born on April 22, 1927, to Buford and Kit Herring.

William is survived by his daughter, Melissa Gill and husband Dan; grandchildren, Michelle Gill, Jennifer Fogarty, Chris Herring, Kent Herring and Brett Herring; great grandchildren, Brennan Fogarty and wife Shelby, Brooke Fogarty, Dobie Herring, Bryce Herring, Aunbria Herring and Trinity Herring; brother, Melvin Herring; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rose Marie and son, Kendall Herring.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall with the service to follow at 1:00 at Tutor Funeral Home Chapel. His final resting place will be in the Mendenhall City Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at Home
