Magee is getting a new doctor: John Miller!!! We are excited and welcome Dr. Miller to the Magee Medical Community.
Dr. Miller’s clinic, Miller Family Care, will be located in the area where Dr. Kelli Smith has been working. Dr. Smith will continue to see patients until October 31st. Dr. Miller will began seeing patients September 11th.
I’ve known Kelli along time! She is pretty special to me. I met Dr. Smith before she officially came to Magee. My middle son, Larkin, became friends with Kelli when he was taken to the ER at Baptist following a type of allergy attack while attending a church event at the Mississippi Coliseum. As soon as I received word that Larkin was in the ER, I headed to Jackson and during that episode in our lives Kelli and I became friends. When she moved to Magee…that was like icing on the cake. Larkin felt Kelli could do no wrong! He even agreed to a physical for team sports by Dr. Smith!
We will miss Kelli. She is moving to Covington, La, getting married, and will be working at Ochsner Clinic in Covington. She is loved by her patients and her many friends.

Congrats to Dr. Smith on her marriage and move, she’s a beautiful person inside and out and deserves the absolute best. Dr. Smith took awesome care of both of my children and they loved her so much, that my children named her Doctor Girl.
