The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in 1 John 4:19: “We love because He first loved us.” We who profess to be Christians should be filled with love for our fellow brethren, naturally, but we must extend beyond those who are loving to those who are maybe not so easy to love. We’re told in the BIBLE that it’s not too big a stretch to love those who love us. The test comes in going outside those safe boundaries. Yes, God loved us and sent His Son. Jesus loved us and died in our stead. No greater love has ever been expressed. The love of God is measureless and strong. So, let us be found showing love toward others, for it is pleasing to God. Amen!
