Magee Police Dept
Michael Albert Focia
On Tuesday August 25, 2020, Officer Charles Alexander of Magee Police Department, assisted by Simpson County Deputy Eric Steel, arrested an unidentified  male for “Disturbing the Public Peace of a Business” and Resisting Arrest.”

The man refused to identify himself. Magee Police took the male, then known as John Doe, to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department where he was fingerprinted on the AFIS Database.
The database identified the John Doe as Michael Albert Focia and revealed that he was “Wanted” by Federal Agencies for weapons/firearms trafficking offenses.  It was also discovered that Focia was “Wanted” in the State of Alabama as well.
At this time, Focia is held at the Magee Police Department awaiting to be picked up by
the U.S. Marshall’s Service.
Our Department appreciates the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department and the Simpson County Jail for having the AFIS Database available.  Without the AFIS, the criminal may have remained at large in our City.
