On October 14th, a global spotlight will shine on human trafficking. Walk For Freedom exists to turn awareness into action. Reach, Rescue and Restore is the purpose of this walk.

Join Church Alive as they host the A21 Walk For Freedom from 8:00-10:00 on October 14th.

Feel free to join the Church Alive team or create your own team to bring awareness to human trafficking. You will have the option to fund raise and purchase walk t-shirts or caps. If you choose not to make any purchases, please dress in all black for the walk. Everyone will have a yellow bandana across their mouths symbolizing the voicelessness of those still entrapped by human trafficking.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to interview Dean Scott, Assistant Chief of Police of the City of Pearl. Dean works on a task force that deals with human trafficking. “The use of children for drugs is wide spread. It is not something we are comfortable with or can even imagine…but it happens every day,” explained Dean.. I felt the interview with Dean reinforces even more the importance of “Walk For Freedom.”.

Take time to listen to Dean. We need to make a stand/walk against human trafficking.

Thanks to Church Alive for hosting this state wide event in Magee, MS.
