Wade Westmoreland passed away on January 1, 2023, at his residence. He was born to Bill Westmoreland and Bobbi Nell Robbins Westmoreland, on January 23, 1956, in New Hebron, MS.

 

Wade retired from Georgia Pacific after thirty years. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, deer hunting and fooling around with his dogs. He enjoyed watching any sports that his grandchildren were playing and loved spending time with them. Family was very important to him.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Dossett Westmoreland; mother, Bobbi Nell Westmoreland; sons, Justin Westmoreland (Renee), Jordan Westmoreland (Kevin), Kirk Lewis (Callie); daughters, Jana McGough (Tommy), Olivia Cole (Elliot); brother, Billy Westmoreland (Helen); sister, Vivian Lord (Andy); grandchildren, Arik, Gavin, Cael, Mercer, Cruz, Jalen, Jackson, Judson, Ashlyn, Lauren, Landen, Timmy; expectant great-granddaughter, Rayelyn Claire along with many nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Westmoreland, and brother, Lonis Westmoreland.

 

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Shivers Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Westmoreland officiating with one hour of visitation prior to service. Interment will follow at New Hebron Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
