Vernon Ray Sullivan Sr. passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at his residence. He was born on September 17, 1940, to the late Van Otis Sullivan Sr. and Mary Lucille Sellers Sullivan in Magee, MS.
He served his country in the United States Army with one of those being overseas. He grew up in a big family with lots of brothers and sisters. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a beloved Poppa to his ten grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Sullivan; sons, Vernon Sullivan Jr., Donald Sullivan, Johnny Christopher Sullivan (Beth), Ronnie Sullivan (Kim); daughter, Kimberly Renee Sullivan Parkman (Justin); brother, Van Sullivan Jr (Margaret); sisters, Christine Gaspard (H.J.), Mary Evelyn Smith (Jesse) and ten grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Sullivan, Ricky Sullivan, Freddie Mack Sullivan, J.C. Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, Dorothy Lucille Roberts, Mary Lou Sullivan and Janette Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home at 10:00 AM with Bro. Gary Roberts officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee, MS.
