I was contacted tonight that the lady who broke into Mrs. Addie’s truck has been arrested.She is from Hattiesburg and visiting her grandmother in Hillcrest. (per Addie’s daughter)
Around 2 AM Monday morning, August 15, 2022, Addie Franks an employee of Hillcrest Nursing Center’s truck was broken into by busting the back glass. The truck was in the parking lot. Although the doors were locked, the thief gained entry through the back window and exited on the driver’s side stealing her purse, Bible, and a watermelon!
The victim praised the Magee Police Department for their courteous and quick response.
Sue Note: I sure hate to hear the word “break-ins.” The police department needs your “eyes and ears” to assist in making our city safe. Beware of your surroundings…don’t leave valuables in your car… Addie is a precious lady! I sure hate to see this happen to her or anyone.
