After weeks of playing games at the Magee High School gym, Upward Basketball games have resumed at First Baptist Church. Games were held at the school because of the continuing restoration project at FBC Magee, but with just a few weeks left in the season and only about month left until worship returns to the sanctuary, practices and games have returned to the Family Life Center.
Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is a ministry supported by people throughout the community, many of whom serve as coaches or referees. In fact, Upward would be completely impossible without its volunteers.
Each Saturday, games begin at 8:00 a.m., and the last game is usually played around 2:00 p.m. Kids ages 3 through 6th grade participate in the program.
