Tuesday Update:
Mom is finally out of IUC and has been moved to a private room at Baptist Hospital. We expect her to be there for at least another week.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, but please continue. She is going to need all the strength she can muster in order to get through the next several months. A second surgery will need to be scheduled sometime in June once she has recovered from this surgery.
Update: 7:30pm
Mom is still in ICU. She will be heavily sedated for the next few days. Thank you all for your calls and texts. We just can’t respond to all of you at this time. Our focus has been on getting her stable. Once she is in a room and is able to talk, I’m sure she will want to reach out to each of you.
Newest Update from Kara (daughter)
Update: 8:45am Gloria is out of surgery but still in ICU. Her colon was punctured and had to be repaired. She will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Please hold off on your calls and texts. We can’t get to everyone and need our phones available for emergencies.

Update: Mom was taken to the Baptist Hospital in Jackson this evening. After a CT scan, the doctors believe she has a puncture either in her intestine or colon. She is getting prepped for surgery now. We will send out more updates as we get them. Please keep her in your prayers.

Our Heavenly Father is with Gloria and her surgical team. Since He already knows her needs, He will guide the medical staff throughout the major procedure. At this point, we do not know exactly which part of the intestine or colon was punctuated or any other details
