Maggie Lou Benton, 74, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, died Saturday at her home in Mendenhall. She was born Thursday, December 23, 1943.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Mendenhall.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Mendenhall.   The Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Rodney Anderson and Bro. Ted Bowlin will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mrs. Benton was a member of First Baptist Church of Mendenhall.  She was known to all as being a strong prayer warrior and woman of faith.  She served as Sunday School teacher and a G.A. Leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Truitt Benton and her parents Dan Ware and Katie Ware; brother Rachel Ware, and sister Cecil Rankin.

Survivors include daughters Alaina Sullivan, Hope Allen (Anthony), Anita Wilson and Terri Fewell (Duane); grandchildren Katie Allen, Jesse Allen, Brady Wilson, Bailey Wilson, Bethany Fewell, Anson Fewell, and Emma Fewell and one sister Loree Thames.

Pallbearers will be Anson Fewell, Duane Fewell, Danny Bankston, Bobby Thames, Brady Wilson, Jake Rogers, and Josh Cook.
